GOFF AIRBLAST SYSTEMS

AIR BLAST NOZZLES: Four 3/8 diameter Venturi carbide nozzles with 3/16 diameter air jets are standard.  Full coverage of blast chamber is accomplished by oscillating the nozzles on a pendulum mechanism. Height of nozzles to the work is adjustable.

AIR REQUIREMENT: 150 PSI maximum. 3/4” FPT furnished for air connection.

 

MILL CONSTRUCTION

RUBBER TUMBLE BELT: Continuous molded rubber tumble belt is (3) ply construction with 3/16” diameter abrasive drain holes. Rubber tumbling ridges molded directly onto the belt.

CONVEYOR ROLLERS: Rollers have 1-3/16” diameter solid shafts. All rollers are mounted to the cabinet with standard (4) bolt flange bearings.

CONVEYOR SPEED: 6.75 feet per minute.

CAPACITY: 30” wide x 24” diameter mill will handle 2.5 cubic feet or 250 pounds.

WORK LOAD HEIGHT: 3’4”

CABINET CONSTRUCTION

CABINET: Pitless type, low profile, formed to maintain structural integrity, the cabinet is fabricated from 12 ga. and 1/4” steel plate. Access holes in sides of cabinet simplify belt replacement. Access door in back of cabinet permits removal of tramp material collected on abrasive screen.

 

DOOR: Pneumatically locked door opens and closes easily and provides full access to blast chamber. Door is positively sealed from abrasive and dust leakage. Optional Vertical Lift Door.

 

ABRASIVE RECYCLING SYSTEM AIR TRANSPORT

 

Abrasive is recycled with vacuum created by the dust collector. Abrasive travels through specially sized steel tubes with resilient elbows from the blast cabinet to the cyclone separator. Abrasive is gravity fed from the cyclone to the storage hopper.

 

VENTILATION FEATURE DUST COLLECTOR

Optional 900 CFM dust collector is fully contained. Collector contains eight 8” Dia. X 16” long oval cartridge filters which are cleaned automatically by an air pulse unit (requires 80 to 110 PSI of air at 2 CFM).

SEPARATOR SYSTEM

ABRASIVE SCREENING: Abrasive screening in cabinet eliminates tramp material from abrasive. A secondary screen in the hopper provides positive protection.

ABRASIVE REQUIRED: 50 pounds initial.

ABRASIVE SEPARATOR: 900 CFM Cyclone with adjustable 8” outlet tube for optimum sizing of contaminate removal.

ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS

NEMA type 12 electrical enclosure, thermal overload protection for all motors, optional single phase or three phase operation, 115 volt secondary control transformer, oil tight push buttons, 15 minute abrasive cycle timer. Timer controls both abrasive flow and nozzle oscillation. All motors are totally enclosed and fan cooled to provide maximum life. Unit optionally equipped 230 volt single phase or 230/460 volt 3 phase.

 

SAFETY FEATURES

Blast nozzles operational only when door is closed. Chain drive is fully guarded.
